About Andalusia, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Andalusia is located in the heart of south-central Alabama, approximately 80 miles west of Dothan and 85 miles south of Montgomery. Home to a population of more than 9,000 residents, Andalusia is the county seat of Covington County and largest city within the countywide region.

Andalusia’s progressive business climate makes it a great place to start or relocate a business. Presently home to more than 1,400 businesses, the city serves as the center of trade and industry for the surrounding Covington County region, where attractive business incentives, low property taxes, and median home prices in the low 90s continue to draw new residents and businesses to the city each year.

Long hot summers and mild cool winters afford year-round opportunities for enjoying the numerous outstanding recreational amenities found throughout south-central Alabama. Andalusia is located within 25 miles of Conecuh National Forest, an 84,000-acre expanse of woodlands, wetlands, and southern coastal pine forest that features excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, biking, camping, and picnicking. Frank Jackson State Park is located just 15 miles east of the city. The 2,050-acre recreation area is home to Lake Jackson, a popular recreational lake known for its abundant population of largemouth and smallmouth bass, bream, channel catfish, and black and white crappie.

Andalusia is home to ten city parks and a number of recreational facilities that include the Coleman Center, Dwight Mikel Sports Complex, and Cooper Pool. Golfers can hit the links at any of several area golf courses, including Evan Barnes Golf Course and Old Pine Golf Course, both public facilities featuring nine holes of golf with multiple tee boxes. Andalusia Country Club is a private golfing facility situated on the western edge of the city that features 18-hole regulation golf on Bermuda fairways and greens.

Downtown Andalusia features a number of historic homes and buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Sites of interest include the Covington County Courthouse and Andalusia Commercial Historic District, home of the First National Bank Building and Central of Georgia Depot. The downtown district is famous for the larger-than-life murals featured on the sides and storefronts of several downtown buildings that tell the story of the city’s history. The murals are the work of Dothan artist, Wes Hardin, an advertising designer and muralist whose works are featured in downtowns throughout Alabama and the southeastern U.S.

Situated at the crossroads of State Route 55 and U.S. Routes 29 and 84, within 85 miles of Montgomery and 120 miles of the Alabama Gulf Coast, Andalusia is the perfect city for experiencing the best of central and south-central Alabama!
