Brantley is located in Crenshaw County, Alabama, approximately 60 miles south of Montgomery and 60 miles northwest of Dothan. Incorporated in 1895, the city is home to a population of approximately 800 residents who enjoy the attractive neighborhoods, friendly hometown atmosphere, and outstanding community services that make the city special.

Brantley is served by the Crenshaw County School District and is home to Brantley High School, home of the Brantley High School Bulldogs, 2014 regional football champions and holders of the 2009 Class 1A State Football Championship. The city boasts a number of active civic organizations that include the Brantley Garden Club and Brantley Community Choir, and hosts several popular festivals and special events that include the annual “Front Porch Christmas Parade” and “Brantley Fourth of July Parade.”

The Brantley Historic District features a number of beautiful Queen Anne and Craftsman-style Bungalow homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These lovely historic homes with their immaculate front porches and well-maintained lawns have earned the city the nickname “Front Porch Capital of the South.”

Brantley is located within striking distance of some of the finest outdoor sports and recreation in the state of Alabama. The city is located within twenty miles of Gantt Lake and Lake Frank Jackson, both outstanding recreational lakes featuring activities that include fishing, boating, hiking, biking, picnicking, and camping. Located just five miles north of town, Crenshaw County Lake is a popular fishing destination, as well. The lake attracts anglers from miles around with its abundant populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, sunfish, and crappie.

Situated at the crossroads of U.S. Route 29 and U.S. Route 331, Brantley is located within an hour of the big-city amenities of Montgomery and within two hours of the beautiful Gulf beaches of Panama City, Florida!
