About Georgiana, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Georgiana is located in Butler County, Alabama, approximately 30 miles northwest of Andalusia and 100 miles northwest of Dothan. The city is presently home to a population of approximately 1,700 residents, who enjoy the excellent schools, affordable housing, and moderate seasonal weather that brings long hot summers and mild cool winters to the area.

Georgiana is served by the Butler County School System. The city is home to Georgiana School, a Bronze Medal award winner that serves 546 students in grades PK-12. The city is also home to Georgiana Hospital, a general medical and surgical hospital that features several practicing physicians across a broad spectrum of specialties.

Georgiana is the boyhood home of country music legend Hank Williams, Sr. The circa-1850 white-paneled house where he grew up is listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. The home now serves as the Hank Williams Museum and houses an impressive display of memorabilia, artifacts, recordings, and personal belongings from the life of the legendary singer. Each June, Georgiana hosts the annual Hank Williams Festival at Hank Williams Music Park. The festival features arts and crafts, carnival food, and, of course, live country music by local bands and Opry stars from years gone by.

Downtown Georgiana is home to the historic Ga Ana Theater, an Art Deco structure that opened in 1939 with stage and screen entertainment. The theater closed in 1959 and went largely unused until 1999, when it was restored and reopened for business with movies and live performances of music and the performing arts.

Georgiana is located thirty miles northwest of Gantt Lake, a 2,700-acre reservoir popular with anglers and watersport enthusiasts. Visitors to the lake can enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and waterskiing, as well as picnicking and waterfront camping along the twenty-one miles of pristine shoreline that surrounds the lake.

Conveniently situated along Interstate 65 and U.S. Route 31, Georgiana is just 60 miles southwest of Montgomery and 125 miles northeast of the Alabama Gulf Coast!
